Chinese Marketing conferance

On the 28th of April more than 40 advertising agencies from the UK are off to China. Why is this of any interest to you? The main feature of the conference is bringing Chinese products to British markets, so we can reasonably expect some of the ‘products’ to be Chinese pop and Rock sensations. Being a fan of Far Eastern music might be about to get a lot easier…

February 23rd

In Worst Taste

More j-pop music from Worst Taste. The band’s new j-pop album "Dance de Kimete!" ("Kill Your Dance!") is due out on the 28th of February. Kaita Tanaka, Naoto Kojima and their fifth drummer Mao Katou all recently featured in an article published in the Japan Times plugging their new record and explaining just why they get through so many drummers.

How do you describe Worst Taste? Well in the words of their latest drummer Katou: "I'd never heard anything like it before. The first time I heard them, it was hard to tell whether they were making mistakes or whether they actually meant to do that."

January

Plastic Tree in the UK

Plastic Tree recently appeared at Underworld in London. After missing out the UK on their last two European tours it was less Plastic Tree and more Magic Tree as these J-Rockers slammed through a set comprised of hits from their numerous albums.

Although admitting to some distinctly British influences Plastic Tree remains quality J-style. Check these guys out.
