Utada Hikaru "This is the One"
Hikaru Utada, j-pop songstress behind the no. 1 selling album in Japanese history is making a second attempt at the conquering a mainstream Western audience with English language album "This is the One". You can get "This is the one" from Amazon.co.uk as of the 12th of May priced at £13.19, but currently on pre-order and from j-pop suppliers Yesasia right now for a slightly larger price of £21.21. Utada has controversially been described as whoring herself both musically and lyrically by The Japan Times’ Daniel Robson as she has significantly adapted her j-pop style to cater for a more mainstream Western taste.
